Kim Prado is a senior technology executive with over 30 years of experience leading product innovation, digital transformation, and enterprise strategy across global financial services. She specializes in building and scaling next-generation product platforms that unify data, drive regulatory compliance, and elevate client experience across capital markets and commercial banking.
Most recently, Kim served as CIO of US Capital Markets & Commercial Banking at Bank of Montreal, where she defined and executed technology and data strategy across multiple lines of business — delivering platforms for client intelligence, cross-asset execution, real-time regulatory reporting, and AI-driven analytics. Prior to BMO, she spent 15 years at Royal Bank of Canada as Managing Director and Global Head of Capital Markets Client & Digital Channels Technology, where she created and launched the firm’s Client 360 product and Global Sales Intelligence Portal, among other flagship platforms.
Kim’s career also includes leadership roles at Mizuho Securities, ICAP/BrokerTec (where she was a founding team member), Chase Securities, and Deutsche Bank. She holds a BA in Accounting from Stockton University and a FINRA Series 99 license.
A recognized industry leader, Kim is a 2025 Orbie Finalist for CIO of the Year in New York, a recipient of the Waters Innovator of the Year Award, and a former Chairperson of the Fintech Open-Source Board. She is also an Advisory Board Member of Women in Data and a founding board member of the Mercury Company.
