In more than four decades of work in commercial banking and corporate finance, Robert has served government, corporate and project finance clients.  His major emphasis has been providing them access to complex fixed income debentures and high yield credit.

Robert began his career as a corporate lending officer at American National Bank and Trust of Chicago.  With this early background he began a career in capital markets at Bankers Trust and PaineWebber.   Robert joined Citicorp,  where he managed the Chicago and Los Angeles fixed income desks.  He also served on Citicorp’s Fixed Income Management Committee in New York.  Notably, he was at Citicorp when the fixed income group underwrote and launched the first  credit card asset backed securitization.  After September 11, 2001 Robert was recruited to Keefe Bruyette and Woods to build a Chicago fixed income office. His work there was integral to the structuring and placement of the securitization of trust preferred securities.  He retained his focus on credit and securitization.  Later in his career Robert worked at Guggenheim Partners in the securities division.  Again with a focus on credit and securitization.

Recently he has played an advisory role in securing financing for a large renewable energy project in the Chicago area.

Robert holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Northwestern University and a MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.
