Susan has extensive experience across 25+ years in financial services and health insurance, leveraging advanced analytics capabilities to drive business growth, address and exceed regulatory requirements, and institute sound and sustainable governance practices. She has developed and implemented successful governance practices across several industry verticals, with a focus on balancing quality controls and the ability to confidently innovate at speed. She has developed leading-edge model lifecycle programs addressing the Model Risk Management principles of Validity, Safety, Privacy, Fairness, Transparency, and Accountability, and has acted as a lead representative with Congressional and Regulatory representatives on these topics.
Most recently at Cigna, she developed and managed the Enterprise Model Risk Management governance program with oversight over hundreds of models, with a particular focus on identifying and mitigating bias in the use of algorithms and building quality controls for Model/AI design and implementation. At Citigroup, where she led the bank’s Decision Management function, she worked across domestic and international markets to deliver ~$4B in revenue by transforming business models and product constructs through targeted and intelligent use of data, under the jurisdiction of a Pricing Council that she designed and managed.
Susan is a graduate of Dartmouth College where she holds a dual B.A. in English and Classical Studies.
