Craig Schmidt brings 40+ years of regulated banking experience, focused on credit risk identification and management to Global Economics Group.   Craig has worked with large international, national and regional banks over this period providing key subject matter expertise at senior levels for internal and regulatory purposes. 

Craig has built respected internal credit risk review functions, provided challenge and oversight to the loan workout function and worked closely with banking regulators on meaningful credit matters.  He has a thorough understanding of the lending function, and operational concerns that impact effective risk management.

Craig has a BA from University of Illinois-Chicago and Master’s in Finance from Loyola University Chicago
