John has over thirty years of experience in banking focused on governance, risk, strategy, corporate development, and executive management. Most recently John led Northern Trust’s business in the Mountain West with full P&L responsibilities for banking, investment management, fiduciary services, custody and asset servicing. In this role, John developed and implemented a turnaround plan, and positioned the business for perennial top quintile performance. John’s previous leadership roles at Northern Trust include global head of corporate development for the wealth management business and global head of alternative assets held in trust (unregistered securities and non-financial assets). As head of corporate development, John led the acquisition that was the nucleus of Northern Trust’s transformation to Goals Driven Wealth Management with over $70 billion AUM.  Prior to Northern Trust, John co-founded Trinity Capital Services, a consultancy and NASD broker-dealer providing sell-side advisory services to middle market companies, where he led over 100 corporate finance transactions.  Prior to Trinity, John served in various capacities at Anschutz Company (CFO, CEO and Board Chair) for select portfolio companies in a variety of industries, all actively involved in capital markets for funding and transactions, both divestitures and acquisitions. John started his career in the audit practice with PwC and continues to hold his CPA license. John has his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and MBA from the University of Chicago.
